From God we come and to Him we return

Assalamualaikum,

My grandfather passed away early this morning. Please pray that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'aala forgives his sins and blesses him with the company of those He loves.

Jazak Allah.

I'm so sorry to hear of your grandfather's death. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon. I wish I could do more. But all I truly have to offer are duas.

So - May Allah bless your grandfather with a wide, spacious grave filled with noor, and make his transition to the next life an easy one for hhim. May He reward him for all his good deeds, and forgive any
sins. May the good he did always live on, multiplying infinitely. May He grant you all a reunion with your grandfather in Jannat-al-Firdaus, the highest level of Jannah. May He bless your family, and guide you all through this time of sorrow. May Allah grant you all the sabr to deal with your loss with fortitude and faith. Ameen.

Fathima once told me the following story, soon after I lost someone close to me - "When the Prophet's (saw) son died, he cried and the sahaba were surprised, shocked even, and he told them, 'This is mercy ... the eyes are shedding tears and the heart is grieved, and we will not say except what pleases our Lord. O Ibrahim! Indeed we are grieved by your separation.'" So may we follow the Prophet's (saw) example and accept Allah's decisions with patience, courage, and grace, and may the deaths of our loved ones constantly serve as reminders to those of us left behind. May our love and our prayers help them like nothing else can. Ameen.

Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Rajioon....

May Allah shower His blessings on the departed soul, and may He grant the family the courage and the sabr to weather this loss....

I never did get to meet any of my grandfathers. My father was only a child when he had lost his father, and even though my mother's dad expired as recently as 1995, he was in UK all his life, and we hardly ever got to exchange greetings...you are lucky in that you had your grandfather's love and affection, and you were with him till his last day.

I am sorry for disappearing after the janaza prayers - its just that I thought it best to leave you with your family at the time.
