Insha-Allah.
Hundreds of people I know have died, lost their families, towns and possessions. An entire generation, they say, has been wiped out, with Muzzafarabad and Rawlakot becoming "ghost towns". I remember attending a lecture once on "Perished Nations" - all the stories of the Prophets of the past like Nuh AS and the flood, Lut AS whose nation was wiped out with a tornado, the people of Ad who disobeyed Hud AS and faced eight days of destructive wind... etc.. now these aren;t stories of the past of a nation unknown, it's happening to us! A scholar at Aga Khan Univ was giving a lecture the other day and he said that humankind has reached the zenith of sin. As the hadith goes.. Whatever your actions, same will be your fate. You can see it happening. It's time to ask for forgiveness and seek change in yourself.
bushra i totally agree with what you're saying. especially about seeking change within ourselves. may Allah swt give us the wisdom to take this time out to reflect and the strength to try to change
